Dodges Ferry group meet every Friday in the Dodges Ferry Community Centre, with a gorgeous outlook to the sparkling blue ocean and in close proximity to the fabulous community garden. They have been meeting for more than 30 years. Begun by Carol Kingston and Liisa Korven-Korpinen, there are many and varied skills amongst the members. Liisa may have been the first to spin The Longest Thread at Bothwell Spinin, recorded at 257.63m of merino 2-ply yarn weighing 10grams. Members farm mohair and wool and alpaca between them, and welcome visitors and newcomers alike.

Coordinators taking over the reigns from Carol Kingston in 2016 are Karen and Eileen.
