Earlier this year, Joy Rees and Jillian Brammer, with the help of Margot Wilson, facilitated a Learn to weave workshop over two consecutive Saturdays. Seven eager participants were enabled to learn the parts of the looms and how it works. They each prepared a warp and put it on the loom to weave a scarf in yarn of their choosing. Several people wove herringbone and one weaver chose Houndstooth threading. Lots of different experiences were shared as people had challenges and these were addressed and managed. Lots of fun and laughter as well as frustration at times!

A ‘Show and Tell’ was planned for mid July at our evening Weaving session and five of the new weavers were able to attend and proudly displayed their finished scarves. They can all be proud of what they have achieved and all are planning their next weaving (or have already started)!
