Ulverstone group celebrated their 1st anniversary in style! Guild President Alan Shaw attended as did many others from various parts of Tasmania.

Convenor Dean Rivett had this to say...

"Thanks to one and all that came to our event. It was a great day with 15 different groups represented. About 65 people enjoyed a great morning tea, chat, networking and lunch before sharing stories and craft in show and tell. Kim Shadbolt was made a life member which came as  a great surprise to her, well done Kim. We hope people had a great time, judging by the amount of noise in the room it certainly seemed so. The Show and Tell had many great things showing the variety of talent and skill we have. Thanks again one and all, Dean Rivett."

And a comment from one attendee.

"Thanks Ulverstone for your wonderful day, tons of food, lots of raffle prizes, lots of happy faces. Shopping opportunities. You made us all feel very welcome. (Even a lounge area for hubbies to read the paper, and knitters to relax) Lovely rust-coloured woven/felted tags for us, with a big “U” and a spinning wheel, throwing a challenge to other groups to do something similar, thinking caps on! A beautiful memento of a great 1st Birthday for your group. Congratulations to Kim for her life membership awarded, well deserved. Great to see so many Southerners there too."

It was a great day, the groups represented were:

Battery Point, Burnie, Deloraine, Devonport, Forest, Geeveston, Judbury, Kingston, Launceston, Redcliffe (QLD), Rosny, Sun Coast, Tamar Valley, Ulverstone and Yolla! Great effort Guild members, fabulous support for each other. Enjoy the photos, if you have any to add send them to the Web Elf.
